Basic Chess Draws
Left:
White has pushed his pawn too far ahead. This position ends in a stalemate.
Right:
White has an edge pawn which is bad. This leads to a draw.
Left: different colored bishops. White cannot make any progress because his bishop cannot work on the white squares which are controlled by the black bishop.
Right diagram: An edge pawn cannot go into the corner square to promote as it is blocked by the black king which will always stay near the corner square.
Wrong Bishop
Above diagram
The king just goes into the corner and White cannot chase him out of the corner because he has the wrong colored bishop. So the pawn can never promote on the last row.
